About Houma Energy Services

HOUMA ENERGY SERVICES LIMITED (HESL) is an integrated Services company registered in Nigeria to, among other things, engage in the provision of energy infrastructure such as Pipelines, Storage Tanks, Process Installations, Flow Stations, Pumping Stations, Terminals, and Civil Infrastructure for the energy industry.

Our head office is located at no. 2 Roland Dore Street, off NPA Expressway, Ugbuwangue, Warri, Delta State. We maintain some level of fabrication capacity within our head office premises, but for major fabrication work, we use the facilities of former Bendel Steel Structures, off Enerhen Road, Warri.

To deliver quality service, it is necessary to have some key resources in place. At Houma Energy Services, we have vital resources that enable us implement projects successfully. These resources include qualified and highly experienced manpower, adequate equipment, strong financial base, communication facilities, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) resources, security and community affairs management.

HESL Team

HESL parades a team of highly experienced and dedicated staff driving her vision, and ensuring that goals are met and objectives realized. The collective depth and scope of experience held by our managers and engineering/non-engineering staff, enables us to undertake a wide range of activities and projects. Our executive capacity is further strengthened by the level of both internal and external collaboration and synergizing we undertake.

Equipment

We maintain adequate operational equipment for our range of activities, including:

  • Mechanical Construction Equipment (welding machines, cutting & grinding machines, argon sets, jacks & tensioners, blasting & painting equipment, etc.)
  • Civil Construction Equipment (concrete mixers, saws, jack hammers, poker vibrators, etc.)
  • Lifting Equipment (mobile cranes, self-loader, forklift, self-elevating platforms, etc.)
  • Power Generators
  • Liquid Transfer Pumps
  • Mobile Air Compressors
  • Light and heavy-duty Vehicles
  • Earth Moving equipment (tippers, bulldozers, excavators, graders, pay loaders, etc.)

Finance

HESL has a sound financial base, and facilities to fund projects to the tune of over N1bln (One Billion Naira), as well as equivalent values in other world currencies. We have reliable support from our bankers, Zenith Bank PLC.

We also have equipment leasing guarantees from other companies in the industry that avail us access to marine equipment such as lay barges, dumb barges, tug boats, houseboats, etc.

Communication

We maintain a regular communication system involving use of company-allocated GSM lines, and company email addresses for all supervisors and management staff. Documents are transmitted electronically in PDF or other required format, and where necessary, by courier to designated recipients.

Health, Safety and Environment

Health and Safety

HESL is committed to the highest standards of health and environment protection, as well as safe work, and the provision of a conducive work environment. This commitment has led to the development and operation of a corporate Health, Safety, Environment, & Security (HSES) Management System, which provides the framework for management of health, safety, environment, security, and related aspects of HESL operations.

HESL operates a highly evolved Environmental Management Strategy that seeks to:

  • Assure clients, government, and other stakeholders of our readiness to conform to standards and regulations in a demonstrable manner

Security

HESL’s approach to security, in terms of strategy, planning, and implementation, is a direct output from our corporate security policy. Each project management group is charged with specific responsibility to safeguard HESL and Client, corporate, and business interests, with respect to assets, resources, information, and personnel.

Community Affairs

HESL strives to maintain very effective and cordial relations with immediate (host) communities, and relevant stakeholders, during project execution. Our unfailing strategy has always been, to create symbiosis and mutual benefit in all our community engagements. The corporate HSES Manager oversees this process.
